Join our Architecture & Modernization team as a hands-on Full-Stack Developer helping to shape the future of software development within a leading financial institution. In this unique role, you’ll balance coding (full cycle: design, implementation, testing, code reviews, bug fixes, documentation etc.) and community engagement, writing production-grade software while also helping other technologists adopt modern technologies and development practices. You will enable various technology teams in their successful migration off legacy platforms onto specific modern alternatives and leveraging the experience gained in the process to collaborate with the modern platform teams on improving their products. You’ll be directly exposed and will engage with stakeholders and users to help surface priorities, issues, and address those while carefully planning for consequences of any changes. You’ll collaborate across teams, deliver technical workshops, and support internal enablement efforts focused on a modern deep technology stack. This is a mid-level, hands-on, individual contributor role that offers the chance to have real technical impact across a complex organization, without requiring prior financial experience.

Responsibility:
1. Write and maintain high-quality, production-ready code in Python, JavaScript, and Java.
2. Work across new projects and existing codebases.
3. Engage with internal technologists across the firm to share practices, provide guidance, and support tool adoption, migration, adoption of new technologies.
4. Write and review articles and documentation meant to guide developers in their modernization efforts.
5. Participate and lead occasional workshops and training sessions on modern development topics such as containers, automation, AI tools, and emerging practices.
6. Collaborate closely with architects and engineers to continuously improve our internal development experience.

Skills required:
• 5 years of professional software development experience.
• Proficiency in Python (3.10+), JavaScript (React 16+, Angular), and Java (16+)
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), an ability to accurately communicate complex details with clarity, and a natural interest in connecting and educating other developers.
• Comfort leading informal workshops or training sessions on technical topics.
• SQL, relational Database experience; Snowflake.
• Ability to navigate and contribute within a large, regulated enterprise environment.
• Linux fundamentals: Git, SDLC, VSCode/IntelliJ, Kubernetes
• Experienced with containerisation and cloud technology

Nice to Have:
• Understanding of Agile methodologies and familiarity with Jira.
• Experience integrating with platforms like ServiceNow.
• DB2 hands-on knowledge dialect, etc.
• Exposure to containerization, developer tooling, or internal enablement work.
• Data science knowledge and familiarity with Jupyter
• GenAI integration into tooling
• Experience leading teams and setting standards
