POSITION DETAILS

Contract

The Role:

The Client is looking for a contract video editor with strong motion design skills to join our growing in-house creative services team.

This candidate will be responsible for shooting and editing video footage to create powerful videos on behalf of the Client, reporting to the Creative Director. In collaboration with executive communications, corporate brand, and solutions marketing, this individual must combine logical sequencing with smooth storytelling to create compelling video pieces.

The video editor may also be tasked with other motion design projects such as design production, presentation animations, animated web graphics, and other graphic animation creative projects. Like the rest of the creative services team, this individual will be responsible for upholding global brand standards while creating visually engaging and effective designs.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Shoot and capture videos such as interviews, talking heads, fireside chats, testimonials, and b-roll using multi-camera DSRLs

  • Select appropriate equipment from the type of lens to appropriate lighting

  • Execute video production and editing while adhering to our brand strategy

  • Create corporate video assets using both original and stock footage

  • Organize raw footage and other assets using prescribed naming convention

  • Perform any necessary color correction or color grading

  • Create and/or apply animation and graphics to enhance the production of the video

  • Encode and render video for use for various platforms (ie. web, watchout screens, etc.)

  • Meet deadlines for rough cuts and final deliverables while proactively escalating schedule delays and/or issues to the producer

  • Work with video producer to plan and prepare video shoots

  • Support creative services on motion graphic design projects as needed


REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of professional video production and editing experience required

  • Strong portfolio/reel demonstrating a clean and modern aesthetic

  • Expert knowledge of Adobe Premiere and After Effects

  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint

  • Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator

  • Understanding and experience in upholding brand and style guidelines

  • Exceptional visual design skills with an emphasis on conceptual storytelling

  • Understanding of the strengths and limitations of presentation technology including aspect ratios, projectors, sound, and video equipment

  • Understanding of image formats, resolution, and size

  • Knowledge of audio mixing and music editing using Audition or equivalent

Requirement:

  • Shooting videos, capturing interviews, travel onsite to user conference in Las Vegas.


EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Video Production, Film, Broadcasting, or relevant field preferred


PREFERRED QUALITIES

Desired Skills:

  • Background in high-tech industry preferred

  • Highly skilled in motion graphic design preferred
