POSITION DETAILS

Full Time

Our team supports the global regulatory reporting requirements of the Capital Markets LOBs, this spanning OTC derivative, listed derivative, Fixed Income and Equity cash products. The regulations covered are across America, such as Dodd-Frank, Canada such as Canadian Regulations, Europe, such as MiFID I/II and EMIR, and Asia, such as HKMA. The team are required to work on both meeting the firm’s current regulatory obligations and on meeting future regulatory obligations such as for EMIR REFIT and SFTR

Seeking candidate who should be dynamic and have experience working in an agile environment couple with excellent, business analysis, communication, and organizational skills. The role will require working with stakeholders globally and across divisions and knowledge of broad spectrum of assets classes. The candidate will work in a global team spread across London, New York/New Jersey, Charlotte and Bangalore/Hyderabad in India.

BA Lead/Manager role:

The Capital Markets Business Analyst (BA), will be responsible for owning the overall functional design of assigned regulatory technology projects (custom or product strategy) as well as recommending best practices for solutions based on business needs. This role as a Capital Markets Technology Business Analyst will require to lead/manage/perform detailed analysis and mapping of business requirements in collaboration with key business and compliance stake holders and help the team in solution design.

  • Significant of Business Analysis experience

  • Ability to collaborate with business and technology teams to understand requirements, share with the global technology teams with adequate walk-thrus and participate in technical design.

  • Demonstrable experience of working concurrent analysis streams/projects


REQUIREMENTS

Primary Skills and Experience:

  • This role is required to design and develop application tools and processes necessary for the regulatory platform to support

  • Significant amount of hands-on Capital Markets Product (OTC derivative, listed derivative, Fixed Income, FX and Equity cash products) knowledge and experience

  • Demonstrable period of hands-on experience with regulatory requirements for transaction reporting for Dodd-Frank, experience with EMIR, MIFID regulatory requirements

    • Considerable hands-on experience of MiFID/MiFID II

    • Considerable hands-on experience of EMIR regulations

    • Considerable hands-on experience of Dodd-Frank

    • Considerable hands-on experience of Canadian

    • Considerable hands-on experience of HKMA

    • SFTR

  • Notable experience in liaising directly with a variety of stakeholders throughout the firm.

  • Notable experience in working closely with Capital Markets Operations and Middle office teams

  • Experience in liaising directly with compliance teams.

  • Experience in analyzing business process flows and impact to regulatory compliance.

  • Ability to collaborate with business and technology teams to understand requirements, share with the global technology teams with adequate walk-thrus and participate in technical design.

  • Strong data analysis skills and experience - able to use tools such as Excel to analyze large volumes of data to find correlations, variations and anomalies.

  • Exhibit good leadership and communication skills to help the scrum team clearly understand the requirements.

  • Ability to be pro-active and clearly escalate when risks or issues arise

  • Good documentation skills with the ability to articulate complex topics in a concise and articulate manner

  • Proven experience of managing team of technical business and software developers in a financial establishment

Candidates should have and be able to demonstrate the following competencies:

  • 15+ years of hands-on experience working Capital Markets Solutions two or more asset classes

    • Equity, Fixed Income, Listed and OTC derivative products

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with regulatory projects for the

    • Regulations like Dodd Frank, CFTC, MIFID I and II, HKMA, ESMA/EMIR

  • Working with GTRs like DTCC, ICE, ARM/APAs like UnaVista, TRADEcho, Bloomberg, TradeWeb

  • 15+ years of information technology experience

  • 10+ years of capital markets experience

  • 5+ years of compliance and regulatory systems experience

  • 5+ years of application production support experience

  • 5+ years of 3rd party vendor application support experience (ideally with 3rd party vendors like Calypso, TradeWeb, Bloomberg, MarketAxess, DTCC, ICE, UnaVista, TRADEcho, TRAX, etc.)

Required Skills/Qualifications and Experience:

Candidates should have and be able to demonstrate the following competencies:

  • 15+ years of hands-on experience working Capital Markets Solutions two or more asset classes

    • Equity, Fixed Income, Listed and OTC derivative products

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with regulatory projects for the

    • Regulations like Dodd Frank, CFTC, MIFID I and II, HKMA, ESMA/EMIR

    • Working with Trade Repositories like DTCC, ICE, ARM/APAs like UnaVista, TRADEcho, Bloomberg, TradeWeb

  • Hands on functional design and implementation experience on:

    • Integrating with FO/MO systems to capture trade data

    • High performance and reliable processing of trade data for regulatory obligations

    • Integration with GTRs for reporting with stringent regulatory obligations timing and SLAs

  • Ability to understand business problems and articulate a corresponding solution

  • Extensive FSD and traceability matrix documentation experience

  • Extensive understanding of enterprise standards across info security, users access controls, application vulnerabilities management, third party libraries/systems/product upgrades


EDUCATION

  • A BS/BA degree or higher


PREFERRED QUALITIES

Desired Skills:

  • Knowledge and understanding of system including business requirement design or review, release management, and system issue resolution

  • Knowledge and understanding of technology software: release management

  • Knowledge and understanding of technology support: System including business requirement design or review, release management support, test script development and execution, and system issue resolution

  • Knowledge and understanding of technology testing: build/deploy processes, and release management

  • Release management exposure; preferably within Wells Fargo

  • Knowledge and understanding of application design and development in a client server architecture

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
