Role Description:

We are looking to fill a mixed role:

  1. IT Project Manager to manage and track multiple projects in a structured and efficient manner by means of following a mature life cycle to create value-add for the firm. You will be supporting the Engineering team in their efforts to create organization efficiency, rationalize the product portfolio and drive strategic enterprise system management solutions that share common components and work cross-platform.

  2. Project Administrator to manage and coordinate monthly team reporting, work with Program Managers for the creation of PowerPoint presentations for programs, other admin tasks. You will form part of the ETS Portfolio Practice team which operates across ETR and be embedded within one or more of the product families responsible for leading, managing and overseeing the prioritized portfolio of delivery initiatives.

The IT Project Manager is responsible for all project phases and acts as a single point of contact for a wide range of audiences (technical, client and management).

Responsibilities include but are not necessarily limited to:

  • Developing the project information document.

  • Production of detailed delivery plans and schedules.

  • Status tracking and reporting Risk, action, issues and dependencies identification, resolution/mitigation co-ordination.

  • Facilitating project meetings.

  • Hosting knowledge transfer sessions as required.

  • Adherence to project life cycle quality and policy standards.


REQUIREMENTS

Experience & skills required (listed by importance):

  1. (Waterfall Project Management) Management of IT infrastructure and/or software developments of varying scale and complexity.

  2. (Agile Project Management) Experience of differing execution methodologies such as waterfall, agile/scrum and hybrid approaches.

  3. (Communications) Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

  4. MS PowerPoint knowledge and competency.

  5. Excellent written/reporting skills.

  6. MS Project knowledge and competency.

  7. Ability to indirectly manage virtual team members from a diverse cultural background.

  8. Strong problem-solving skills.

  9. Ability to multi-task and manage several projects concurrently.

  10. A sound background for the adherence to business processes and procedures.

  11. Good MS Office (Word, Visio, Excel) skills.

  12. Ability to work with all levels of management.

  13. Candidates must have a good attention to detail and organizational skills.

  14. Must have the ability to be flexible, work independently, and be self-motivated and a team player.

  15. Be assertive/confident.


PREFERRED QUALITIES

Desired Skills:

  • Microsoft Deployment technologies (ex iBuild) PMP certified (or equivalent recognized professional standard).

  • Understanding of ITIL v3.

  • Software deployment experience.

  • HP Project and Portfolio Management (PPM) experience.

  • MS Project Server with SharePoint overlay experience.
